A five day instructor-led course providing a thorough understanding of the concepts and principles of EA in general and The Open Group TOGAF framework and Architecture Development Method (ADM) in particular. Led by principal consultants with decades of EA experience.

A very practical approach to TOGAF blending real-world EA experience with the TOGAF body of knowledge. Augmented with an in-depth case study. The content includes:

  • The changing IT landscape
  • Concepts of and need for Enterprise Architectures
  • Principles of EA and available frameworks (Zachman, FEAF, DoDAF, TOGAF, Inspired...)

Extensive Frameworks and Meta Models

Inspired, now incorporated into PROMIS, has developed extensive frameworks and meta models since the early 1990s. These were rated superior to the extensive DODAF frameworks developed by the US Military/ Government in an independent academic study. There is comprehensive coverage for context, business, process, applications, technology and information architectures as well as links to strategy and programme management. Cross cutting concerns such as cost, risk, quality measurement and governance are innovatively addressed.

Special support for methods was exploited in achieving leading ADM support. The frameworks were extended to provide a deep level of support for TOGAF concepts, principles, standards, methodology, viewpoints and deliverables.
